James Webb is a Certified Mold Specialist with eight professional certifications in mold, indoor air quality, water damage restoration, and related fields. With more than 30 years of experience and thousands of mold inspections completed, James brings extensive hands-on knowledge to every inspection.
James specializes in independent mold inspections, indoor air quality testing, air and surface sampling, and post-remediation verification/clearance inspections. Because MoldLab does not perform mold remediation, there is no financial incentive to exaggerate a problem or recommend unnecessary mold removal. The goal is simple: provide clients with an accurate, unbiased assessment of the property and help them understand what the findings mean.
All mold samples are analyzed by an independent accredited laboratory, providing reliable third-party laboratory results rather than in-house testing.
James also performs third-party mold remediation clearance inspections to help verify that remediation work has been completed properly and safely and that the work follows applicable IICRC S520 professional mold-remediation guidelines.
In addition to his mold and indoor air quality experience, James has more than 30 years of professional air duct cleaning experience. This extensive background provides a practical understanding of HVAC systems, moisture conditions, building materials, airflow, contamination, and indoor environmental concerns that can be extremely valuable when investigating potential mold or indoor air quality problems.

"An air sampling helps to determine the presence of mold spore elevations or if there could be a mold problem. Part of a proper mold investigation is collecting ambient air samples in relation to suspect conditions within a home. This helps us determine if there are “suspect” or “elevated” airborne mold spore types and/or concentrations. This not only helps us in determining if hidden mold sources are likely, but it also helps us determine the overall impact mold is having on the occupants and the environment and it also allows us to give proper recommendations for the mold removal."
